Specialist Services build external and internal doors under license to any configuration required, allowing us to provide a solution to any requirement.

License agreements are held with both T.M Utley for ‘A’, ‘H’ & ‘J’ class doors and BD Systems for ‘B’ & ‘A’ class doors. By having the ability to design and manufacture a comprehensive product range in-house, we are flexible in producing any size with any option of hardware required.

Doors manufactured under license by Specialist Services carry IMO / MED certification, and can thus be installed on fixed and floating oilfield installations as well as vessels. They are fully tested as per the FTP (Fire Test Procedures) Code, Annex 1, Part 3 (IMO Res. MSC.61(67) & A.754(18) / (A.517(13) / A.163(ES.IV). Our doors are available in the following fire classes:

•    ‘B-class’       (B0, B15)
•    ‘A-class’       (A0, A30, A60)
•    ‘H-class’      (H0, H60, H120)
•    ‘J-class’       (J15, J30, J60)

In addition, to this we can supply any door suitable to remain structurally intact from a blast / overpressure from 0.1 up to 1 barg; or higher if required. Door options include but are not limited to:

•    Single swing
•    Double swing
•    Single sliding
•    Vision panel
•    Kick-out panel
•    Blast loading
•    Water-tight
•    Fire hose hatch
•    Door coordinator
•    Kick plate
•    Multiple point latches
•    Wind chains
•    Full stainless steel construction

Our in-house test facilities include gas leak testing and water pressure testing. Testing can be completed on individual or samples from batch, depending upon the requirements.
