Specialist Services have been designing & manufacturing firewalls since 1980.
Firewalls are essentially a form of passive fire protection (PFP). The application of PFP is mandatory for the protection of personnel and for asset protection.
Passive fire protection is a mitigation measure aimed at preventing escalation or domino effects on the installation such that the essential safety functions are maintained for a defined minimum duration in the event of an undesired incident. Safety functions for which passive fire protection is provided are those functions/equipment that are critical to mitigate an accident and evacuate personnel from the installation. The application of passive fire protection shall be based on the following criteria:
• To ensure personnel on the installation are protected from the direct effects of fires (jet or pool) during the time necessary to effect a platform evacuation.
• To safeguard the integrity of the escape, evacuation and muster areas during the time necessary to effect a platform evacuation.
• To safeguard the integrity of all equipment critical for the execution of Emergency Response during the time necessary to effect a platform evacuation.
In addition to firewalls, we have the ability to design & manufacture bulkheads & decks. All of our products are manufactured under license and carry IMO / MED certification. They are fully tested as per the FTP (Fire Test Procedures) Code, Annex 1, Part 3 (IMO Res. MSC.61(67) & A.754(18) / A.517(13) / A.163(ES.IV)).
We have the ability to design & manufacture any combination of the following :
