Specialist Services staff have a thorough knowledge of the Safety Rules and Regulations relating to the Offshore Oil Industry. We have well trained and qualified engineers and a modern manufacturing facility. Construction methods and services conform to the specifications set by Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974 Regulations, implemented by Standards Organisations such as the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Lloyds, Det Norske Veritas, Bureau Veritas and other third party surveying authorities.

Doors

We produce a full range of high quality blast doors, sliding doors, swing doors and internal and external doors for the oil and shipping industry. Within the range are single, double doors and service hatches, with fire ratings B0, B15, A0, A15, A30, A60, H60 and H120.

In addition, Specialist Services are approved to manufacture Fire Doors under licence from T.M Utley a UK based company trading since 1881.

A range of accessories can also be supplied such as panic locks, grilles, windows, kick out panels and fire hose hatches etc. We have also recently extended our range of production to compliment the above and now manufacture lightweight B and A class doors under licence from B D Systems in the UK. All fire doors are certified by all the major inspection bodies.

Specialist Services test facilities include gas leak testing and water pressure testing. Each door or batch of doors can be tested to suit the clients specifications. Certification of testing is carried out by third party certification authorities such as Lloyds, BV, DNV or ABS etc.
Specialist Services have a well developed manufacturing facility with an automated fabrication workshop including blasting, painting and testing facilities.

Fire Walls And Blast Walls

We have developed, certified and manufactured, lightweight fire and blast walls of 120, 60 and 30 minute ratings in accordance with JET (J), Hydrocarbon (H) and standard SOLAS (A) class fire barrier requirements. In addition we also manufacture fire and blast walls, marine doors and windows under licence from NOR DAM in Norway to full specification and certification.

Wet Units

Specialist Services manufactures Lloyds Register approved prefabricated bathroom units made from fire retardant Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP).

Specialist Services bathroom units are manufactured from fire retardant Glass Reinforced Polyester (G.R.P). They are delivered as complete factory-tested units ready for installation. Service connections are made from the corridor side to provide easy access for installation and maintenance. Units are tested and certified to meet SOLAS and MODU requirements. Our units are of the highest quality and are designed and manufactured especially for use in ships and offshore accommodation.

Our G.R.P units require minimal maintenance, and as they are not made of steel, will not rust and corrode. Our units are waterproof and have a life expectancy in excess of 20 years. We can supply units in knock down form for installation where there is restricted access and for refits. The components of Specialist Services units are designed to pass through a door opening 800mm x 2000mm - and less if necessary

All of our units can be delivered in sea containers or crated. Shipping time from Dubai to European and Far East ports is less than 28 days.
